Sanitizing & deodorizingWhole-system duct and dryer vent check with before-and-after photos - you see exactly what came out of your vents
That "$99 whole-house special" is a bait ad - the real number appears once they are in your hallway, or the "clean" is a shop-vac at the register. We photograph the inside of your ducts before and after instead.
Air Duct Cleaning Before & After in Yonkers, NY
We could tell you our Rotobrush and Nikro equipment pulls decades of dust out of Yonkers ductwork, but that’s just talk. What we’d rather do is show you what we found, what we cleaned, and what the inside of your system looks like when we’re finished. Every job below is a real scenario we see in homes across Northwest Yonkers, Fleetwood, and Park Hill. We document each one with photos because you deserve proof, not a pat on the back.

1960s Ranch in Dunwoodie – Popcorn Ceiling Dust and a Clogged Return
Return-air duct cavity in a Dunwoodie ranch – thick gray dust matting vs. clean galvanized metal after negative-pressure extraction (Nikro HEPA vacuum).
Photo to be placed here by Cardinal Air Duct Yonkers.
The problem: a return-air chase that had been pulling air through a nineteen-sixties-era filter slot for years, leaving the galvanized walls fuzzy with trapped dust and old ceiling texture. You could write your name in it. We ran our Nikro HEPA vacuum in negative-pressure extraction, meaning every bit of loosened debris goes straight into containment, not back into the family room. Omar Haddad walked the homeowner through the photo line before and after, and the difference in metal color alone was enough to justify the job.
Two-Story Colonial in Crestwood – Every Register Caked with Pet Hair and Lint
Floor register in a Crestwood colonial – matted tan hair and gray lint packed between the damper blades vs. the same register after brush agitation and HEPA extraction.
Photo to be placed here by Cardinal Air Duct Yonkers.
The problem: two long-haired dogs, wall-to-wall carpet, and supply registers that had not been lifted since the house went up in 1987. The airflow was so weak upstairs that the AC ran constantly in July. We removed and cleaned each register, sent the Rotobrush through the branch lines, and pulled the loosened dander, hair, and carpet fiber out with the HEPA unit. When we finished, the homeowner said the master bedroom felt like a different floor of the house.
Post-Renovation Cleanup in Park Hill – Drywall Dust Throughout the Entire System
Main supply trunk in Park Hill – fine white drywall dust coating the interior of the sheet-metal trunk vs. the same trunk wiped clean after Abatement Technologies containment and Nikro extraction.
Photo to be placed here by Cardinal Air Duct Yonkers.
The problem: a kitchen flip that left drywall dust hanging in the air for six weeks, and the HVAC system was running the whole time. That fine white powder gets into the blower, the coil, everything. We set up Abatement Technologies containment around the main return, then worked through each trunk and branch with agitation and HEPA vacuum extraction. The after-photo shows bare galvanized steel again. The homeowner’s sinus pressure started improving the same week, and no, that is not a coincidence.
Elderly Couple’s Split-Level in Bryn Mawr – Eight Years of Candles and a Clogged Evaporator Coil
HVAC blower compartment in Bryn Mawr – flat black soot film over the blower wheel fins vs. clean fins after coil cleaning and extraction, plus a new Aprilaire filter in place.
Photo to be placed here by Cardinal Air Duct Yonkers.
The problem: years of scented candles had left a fine black film across the evaporator coil and blower wheel, which is basically like putting a wet blanket over your AC every August. The system was laboring and the house was still stuffy. We cleaned the coil, cleared the blower fins, and ran the full extraction routine, then installed an Aprilaire media filter to catch what used to sail straight through. The system stopped short-cycling within a day.
Rental Turnover in Downtown Yonkers – Tenants, Time, and a Dryer Vent You Couldn’t See Through
Dryer vent exhaust termination in downtown Yonkers – a wall of packed gray lint visible through the exterior hood vs. clear airflow after rotary brushing and extraction.
Photo to be placed here by Cardinal Air Duct Yonkers.
The problem: a landlord called us between tenants because the dryer in the unit was taking two full cycles to dry a medium load, and the exterior hood was spitting lint onto the sidewalk. We brushed the vent with a rotary line and extracted the packed lint from the run, which in those older downtown buildings can be long and twisty. The after-photo shows a clear path to outside. The landlord told us the next tenant’s first load dried in forty-five minutes. That’s the number that matters.
Commercial Office Suite in Getty Square – Twenty Years of Accumulation in Shared Ductwork
Shared commercial supply plenum near Getty Square – dark particulate coating on every inner surface vs. clean duct board after HEPA extraction and Guardsman filter installation.
Photo to be placed here by Cardinal Air Duct Yonkers.
The problem: office tenants near Getty Square had been complaining for years about gray dust settling on desks and screens, and the building’s shared ductwork looked like it had not been opened since the early 2000s. We worked overnight to avoid disrupting business hours, used Abatement Technologies containment in the mechanical room, and extracted a shocking amount of fine particulate. Then we put Guardsman filtration at the unit. The building manager ordered a second cleaning for the adjacent suite before we had even packed the truck.
