Rotobrush Register & Grille Cleaning: The Yonkers Owner’s Guide
If your Rotobrush register and grille cleaning attachments have stopped gripping, spinning, or holding air, we stock compatible replacements and install them across Yonkers for $95 – $260 parts and labor depending on the piece. Most owners notice the problem the same way: the bristle head won’t stay seated on the shaft, or the air nozzle has cracked where it meets the hose. It’s a frustrating failure because the rest of the machine runs fine while the part that does the actual work just won’t cooperate.
We’re an independent service provider, not affiliated with Rotobrush. Omar Haddad and our crew run Rotobrush equipment on our own jobs daily, so we know exactly which generation of attachment fits which system and what’s worth replacing versus repairing.
Which Rotobrush Models This Applies To
Register and grille cleaning attachments are the interchangeable business ends of the Rotobrush system: brush heads, air-wash nozzles, and extension rods sized to the ports on the AiR+ and previous-generation models like the 2200 and 4400 series. The compatibility gotcha with Rotobrush is the shaft collar diameter. Older 2000-series machines used a 7/8-inch collar; current AiR+ and Pro models take a 1-inch collar with a spring-loaded clip. We see Yonkers owners buy a used head online and find it won’t latch onto their newer machine, or vice versa.
OEM Rotobrush heads are well made, and for the AiR+ we generally recommend staying OEM because the clip tolerances are tight. For the older 2200 and 4400 lines, quality aftermarket brush sets from Abatement Technologies and Guardsman hold up just as well and run about 30% less. If you’re not sure what you have, read the model plate on the base unit, not the attachment, and measure the collar opening with a tape measure. Or call us and read us the model number: we’ll tell you which side of the compatibility line you’re on before you spend a dollar.
Styles & brands we work with

Signs Your Rotobrush Register & Grille Cleaning Is Failing
- The brush head wobbles or slips off the shaft. The spring clip inside the collar has fatigued. This is the most common failure we see on AiR+ units that do weekly route work, and it only gets worse as the clip loosens.
- Air pressure at the nozzle is weak. Cracks develop in the polycarbonate nozzle where it threads onto the air hose, bleeding pressure before it reaches the grille face. Hairline cracks are hard to spot until you run soapy water over the joint.
- The brush spins unevenly or stalls. Bristle wear is uneven and the head has lost its concentric balance, which puts strain on the motor bearing. Continuing to run an unbalanced head shortens the life of the base unit, not just the attachment.
- The extension rod won’t lock into position. The detent pin or twist-lock collar has stripped. These rods take a beating sliding in and out of the case on every job, and the locking mechanism is usually the first casualty.
- Grille face bristles are flat or missing in patches. This isn’t just a performance issue. A head with matted bristles stops agitating and starts smearing debris around, which means you’re running job time without actually cleaning.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included
For Rotobrush register and grille attachment replacement in Yonkers, figure $95 – $260 installed. A replacement brush head is at the lower end. A full kit with extension rods, air-wash nozzle, and brush set runs toward the top of the range. We write you one flat price for the part and the install before any work starts, and it does not change at the door.
What drives the range is OEM versus aftermarket, and your Rotobrush generation. If you’re on the AiR+ and want OEM, the head alone is pricier but it’ll clip on the way Rotobrush intended. Every replacement we install carries our 365-Day Done Right Promise: if the part fails or the install isn’t right within a year, we come back and correct it at no charge.
DIY or Call Us?
Rotobrush attachments are low-tension tools, so swapping a brush head or an extension rod is safe for a careful owner. If you’ve verified your model number and the part matches, this is a five-minute job with no special tools. Where DIY goes wrong in Yonkers is misidentifying the generation and ending up with a 7/8-inch collar on a 1-inch machine, or forcing a worn clip until it breaks inside the shaft. That’s when a $40 head becomes a $180 extraction.
If you want to sanity-check a part before buying, or you’d rather we bring the right replacement to your door in Yonkers and install it while you watch, call (914) 613-6563. We’ll tell you what fits, what it costs, and exactly when we’ll be there.
FAQs
A brush head doing steady weekly route work in Yonkers lasts 12 – 18 months before bristles lose their grit and the clip starts to slacken. Extension rods and air nozzles typically outlast two or three heads unless they’ve been dropped or crushed in transport. If you’re a homeowner using the system twice a year, expect these parts to last a decade or more. Call (914) 613-6563 if you want us to inspect the wear on your current set.
Generally no. Once the spring clip fatigues or the polycarbonate cracks, it’s a replace-and-move-on situation. We’ve never seen a repaired head hold up more than a few weeks, which is why we carry replacements on the truck.
Most register and grille attachment replacements in Yonkers take under 20 minutes on site, including matching the collar size and testing the head on your machine. We price it as a flat-rate job, so the clock doesn’t run against you.
We carry Rotobrush-compatible brush heads, extension rods, and air-wash nozzles on the truck for current AiR+ and older 2200/4400 series machines. We also stock compatible parts for Lennox, Trane, and Carrier HVAC accessories. If your exact part isn’t on the truck, we order it and schedule the install the week it arrives.
